Golf Girls in Bangalore

A stellar cast of Golf Girls convened today at the beautiful Eagleton Resort in Bangalore, for the EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters, India's first ever LET event. Superstar Golf Girl, Laura Davies, won the challenge match on Monday, with India's adorable Sharmila Nicollet.

In India, women's golf has taken off in a huge way... right along with the men's game... and a number of world-class events in 2008 will further enhance the popularity of the game. The India Golf Union and the Women’s Golf Association of India are working with a number of partners, including "Golf in Dubai", CNN and Omega, to bring the world's best (and the world's best known) players to India and the Middle East. Their plan looks to be working. Next week Ms. Davies will be joined by the likes of Annika Sorenstam, Natalie Gulbis and Suzanne Pettersen at The Dubai Ladie's Masters.

  1. I must say that I think Laura Davies is hot. I know she is a big girl but there is something about her that just can't be denied, she is a hottie.

    Good show GG.

    Cheers and all that.

  4. I believe that Golf, and particularly women's golf, has become so popular, so quickly in India, Asia and the middle east because they've come to the sport more recently and are not burdened (as western cultures are) by it's historical reputation as a fussy, stogy, austere, elitist game that was out of reach to most everyone.

  5. Hey Patricia, with your French connection you might be happy to hear that Gwladys Nocera has a five stroke lead!
